December Favourites

It's that time of the month (no, not like that people) where I get to share with you my favourite products/trends that I enjoyed the previous month. So I present to you, (drumroll please) My December Favourites!

Stationary
Seeing as I have less than a month before I start a new school year, I decided to purchase a few supplies from the stationary store Typo.

So the first thing I picked up was a campus style pencil case in the colour marble. However I probably won't use this as a pencil case, but for things like painkillers or gum.

The next thing I got was a pack of five manila folders in marble (starting to see the pattern here) with a neon pink inside. I thought these would be good to put any class handouts or  current projects in. I thought it was a good way to keep organised and they're pretty too!

The last thing I was able to pick up is a planner! The planner I got was a buffalo weekly in the colour marble. As I'll be trying to juggle a lot of projects and exams this year, I better try be more organised. So far I've immensely enjoyed having a planner, it feels so corporate. Even though this is a a 2016 planner, I did actually buy it in December.

So those were the couple of things I liked last month. You can still pick up these on the Typo website, which I'll link at the end of the post.

Fashion
There have been a couple of fashion items I loved last month, which are easy to find on a lot of websites or stores.

The first fashion piece I really liked was denim jackets! Denim jackets have been around for donkey's years and have made a reappearance since 2015. Denim jackets go with everything and are a good Spring/Autumn piece.

You can get these in classic blue or other colours like black white or even pastel pink! You can also customise them with badges or iron patches which you can get at your local craft store or order online.

I've gotten absolutely addicted to them especially in December. I currently own five of these jackets and I have no money due to my addiction.

You can find denim jackets almost anywhere now, whether at your local store or online. Denim jackets are usually a little pricey however I'll link a couple of websites at the end of the post. However if you want to be really cool, you can go thrifting at your local secondhand store or opshop.

The next fashion piece I loved in December, were baseball caps. These are just cheap and affordable accessories that can really add to an outfit and make it more causal. I've noticed baseball caps have become a lot more popular on social  media sites (especially on Tumblr) and more people are wearing them.

Because it's summer here in New Zealand, these are not only fashionable to wear but also practical in the hot sun!

You can pick up baseball caps in any store but personally, you can get a better range (at a better price too) online, which I will link at the end that you can look at yourself!

Music

As a young angst hoodlum of today, I very rarely go outdoors, and when I do, I’ll have some headphones in, listening to music.

So, what music have I been loving? One artist in particular has been a NJ born girl called Halsey. I am absolutely in love with her debut
album ‘Badlands’ with songs that talk about sex, coming of age, and just in general being young.

You can pick up ‘Badlands’ and her EP ‘Room 93’ on Google Play to iTunes now. I'll also link her website.

So that was my first favourites post! So what about you? What things have you been loving in December? Let me know in the comments and I'll reply to them as soon as I can!

Until next time,

Hiraeth
