Hiraeth Is Not Interesting

Hi! My name is- wait no that's  stupid, I can't start my blog like that, Izzy, you idiot, don't be like every generic blogger. 

Okay Izzy, deep breath in...deep breath out.

Hi. I'm Izzy (or Hiraeth as you probably already guessed) and as of tonight I had the strongest urge to create a blog under the name Hireath Is Not Interesting. Now, I'm not sure if I'm going to regret doing this in two years or two weeks time, cringing at every word that I've written, wanting to slam my head against my desk in despair BUT for the time being, I am content.

The reason I've decided to create this blog, is to let out all my angst, pent-up teen emotions about how much I hate the world and to complain about society. No, guys I'm joking, I'm joking....

But I do believe writing does help and it was also one of my New Year Resolutions to write more, and what better way than to do it here?

So I guess since this is my first 'proper' blog post, I'll start off with the usual boring "no one really cares" facts about myself.

Okay, so first, I am girl, in case you haven't figured that out yet, although sometimes I wonder if I'd be better looking if I was a boy. I have a few masculine features which doesn't help in the dating realm (although where I live, there isn't much choice.)

Second, I'm fifteen, going on sixteen in June. It's weird, I know I'm still a minor, but I feel as if I've lived for decades. Is is normal to reminisce as much as I do? Should I be less nostalgic? Is this something I should worry about

Third, I live in New Zealand. Now, if you don't know much about New Zealand, it is a country about a three hour plane trip from Australia, has a population of around 4.5 million people (which isn't many when you look at the grand scheme of things) and prides itself of being clean and green. Well, it's clean and green in the places where the tourists go anyway, so it's as good as anything really.

Fourth, I work in a pizza place *pauses for the laughing.* Yeah. Real glamorous. I would say which franchise but I would like to keep my job, no matter how degrading it is. 

Lastly, I'm super bad at sticking to things. Diets what are those? Exercise? Is that what the kids are smoking today? Homework? Is that a disease? Is it contagious? However, I'll try my best to update at least fortnightly on this blog too.
