Back To School Q and A

Seeing as I have exactly one week until I have to go back to school again ( I cry ) I decided I would spend my last week doing a back to school segment! So starting from today I will be posting everyday for a whole week, with different school-related topics!

So to kick it off, my first post is just going to be a Back To School Q and A, just so you guys get to know a little more about my school life! So let's just get straight into it!

1. Do you like school?

This is going to sound pretty out of it, but I actually do! I love learning new things, writing essays, doing projects (nerd alert, run while you can guys, before I pull out my history book.)

2. What are you excited/nervous for?

I'm excited for a fresh start (new stationary, YES) and to be able to see my friends five days a week. I'm nervous for the massive soul-eating exams and assessments and not being smart enough which is stupid really, because I did well last year but I'm super paranoid...ANYWAY NEXT QUESTION.

3. What subjects are you taking?

This year I only have to take five subjects which we get to pick ourselves, other than Maths and English which are compulsory for me until next year. The three I picked this year was History, Sociology and Business/Digital Technology.

4. What's your favourite subject?

Definitely History. I don't know why, but from a young age I've always been fascinated with how people used to live. I also like English but only certain aspects of it like creative writing or literature, I hate when we have to do grammar activities or 'what is a pronoun?' That stuff is not so hot.

5. What's your least favourite subject?

Maths (cringes) is by far the worst subject. I can never get my head around these formulas and numbers and equations.

6. What's your school schedule like?

We start school at 8:40am finish at 3:05pm, with two one hour periods, then a fifteen minute form class, morning tea, two more one hour periods, a forty minute lunch and one more one hour period.

7. Do you do extra-curricular activities?

Was that meant to be a joke or are you serious? Extra-curricular? Sports?

8. What's your favourite thing about school?

The never ending banter with my friends. Good times.

9. Tips on how to survive a boring lesson?

Think about your teacher in his or her underwear, the scarring images embedded in your brain will keep you on your toes for the rest of the lesson- actually no, that's pretty horrific, just think about lunch or something. Don't take advice from me.

10. What grade were you in when you first started wearing make-up.

I was in Year 9 (or 8th grade for you Americans) but even though I'm going into Year 11 this year, I don't wear it that often, seeing as I'm freaking terrible at it.

11. Where do you buy your school supplies?

Usually at Office Max, because they have good quality books and here in New Zealand we don't really have much other choice.

12. What are your three non-beauty essentials?

My planner! I take it with me everywhere so I can keep on top of my work! Another thing I take is some painkillers, especially since it's summer at the moment, I tend to get migraines. The last thing is my phone because without I'm literally just a potato with an uneven haircut.

13.  What do you want to do when you graduate?

Hey did you hear that? What is is that noise? Whoops it's an anxiety attack kicking in coupled with the existential crisis. Graduation? What I'm going to do with the rest of my life? Let's leave theses thoughts for another time.

14. How do you balance friends, family, school and Internet life?

The simple answer is that I don't. I'm a complete mess.

So that was my back to school q and a! Stay tuned for another back to school post tomorrow!

Until next time,

Hiraeth
